Pete Pellissier grew up in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, living there from 1962-1972. During his ten years there, he attended Sacred Heart Catholic School for seven years, and generally lived a happy childhood. In 1972, Hurricane Agnes devastated Lewistown and Pete’s family moved to suburban Philadelphia. After completing high school in 1978, he attended The Pennsylvania State University, graduating in 1982 with a degree in civil engineering. He began his professional career in Baltimore, and has worked as an environmental engineer for the past 22 years. After living in Maryland for six years, Pete returned to the Keystone State, settling in York County, where he lives with his wife and three children.
Although an engineer by education and experience, he always felt that English, particularly creative writing, was his strong suit. Known by his friends as a good story-teller, Pete decided to write his first book, Ham Loaf Hawaiian, to share some of his childhood tales with a wider audience.
In his spare time, Pete is an avid gardener, home improvement enthusiast, and history buff. He also enjoys traveling to Europe, hiking, kayaking, and sports.
